Pittman speaks at Marianna Middle School as part of the Habitudes teaching series.

Today, I had the opportunity to speak to Marianna Middle School's Leadership Class. This class is a project of the 2015 Jackson County Leadership Class in which I am a member. Marianna Middle School Leadership Class is going through the Habitudes teaching series and my topic was "Pop Quiz-To show students to welcome life's tests as friends, not enemies". I gave them the following tools to help them with life's tests:

1) You're not a leader unless someone is following you.

2) Approach life's tests with positive thinking.

3)Understand no experience is a wasted experience.

4) It doesn't matter how many times you fall, but how many times you get back up.

The students were very attentive and engaging. They asked great questions and gave good answers. I believe this class will use these tools to help them embrace life's tests as friends and to understand how to deal with them in a positive way. Thanks to Mrs. Blair Taylor for embracing the idea for this class and giving these students leadership skills!
