Physical Fitness for Kids
Physical activity is a vital component of children being healthy. Combined with healthy eating, it can decrease obesity and help kids develop strong bones, muscles and joints. Regular exercise also makes their circulatory and respiratory systems more efficient. Children need 60 minutes of activity on at least 5 days of the week to grow up to a healthy weight. Unfortunately, a lot of kids are not getting any form of physical activity. It is important that we promote "staying active" to our kids. Encourage them to play outside, bike ride, dance, play sports or get involve in a fitness program. Just keep them moving! Below is my daughter, Keslyn, demonstrating her workout routine!
